Nnewi South LGA Constituency Briefing organised by JDPC held on 25/11/2016 at Nnewi South LGA Headquarters, Ukpor.
I was privileged to participate in the constituency briefing for Nnewi South LGA organised by JDPC today.
During the discussion, we considered the duties and responsibilities of a legislator. I highlighted some of our achievements particularly in area of lawmaking, representation and oversight.
We stressed on the importance of participatory democracy/governance. We encouraged our people to actively participate in governance.
We robbed minds together on how to make our Local Government better for the benefits of our people. We agreed that there is need for all the towns in our LGA to be united and work as a common block to enable attracted more dividends of democracy for ourselves.
We equally considered some of the ways, through which we could assist our brothers and sisters living with disability. For a start, we provided financial assistance for some of the persons with disability to enable them pay their school fees. In addition, we also supported them with a little token for their welfare and assured them of our continuous support.
